This work was done in India, as part of the Massey University Sustainable Fashion and Textiles Study Tour funded by the Prime Minister's Scholarship for Asia.
Project done in collaboration with Lauren Bishell (Massey University), Barsha Tiwari and Khush Kakkar (National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi, India). The week-long project was centred around circular design concepts, the outcome being a presentation of ideas.
Our project was focused around Design for Dissassembly, in which garments are produced with the intention of being easily dissassembled and reused or recycled.
The designs are all based on zero-waste patternmaking principles, incorporating inclusive styles for different ages, cultures, body types, and styles.
Illustrations by Ina Hill as part of collaborative project with Lauren Bishell, Khush Kakkar, and Barsha Tiwari.
